Un vino molto personale. Penso che l’aspetto più interessante del Vermentino stia nella buccia. Ho vinificato il Vermentino delle Gonnare, una piccola superficie piantata nel 1987, lasciando le bucce a macerare, trasferendo al vino queste suggestioni aromatiche ed un colore dorato, senza appesantirlo. Dopo aver lavorato per dieci anni con il Sangiovese, ho finalmente deciso di produrne uno in purezza. Per troppo tempo avevo ingiustamente relegato questo vino ad un ruolo marginale nella mia produzione.
